About
I’m Bri, and I’ve been living with autoimmune arthritis since middle school. Along the way, I’ve picked up a lot of tips, stories, and science knowledge that I want to share with others. For example, how does air travel with Humira work? Do biologics increase cancer risk? What’s it like to go to Disney World with arthritis? I don’t have all the answers, but I can share what I’ve learned.
My diagnosis is juvenile spondyloarthritis (ankylosing spondylitis), a type of arthritis that most often affects the spine and large joints (like hips, shoulders, and knees). My arthritis also affects smaller joints like my fingers.
I have a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, and I’m pursuing my PhD, where I study institutional interaction.
I speedrun video games as a part of Permastunned Gaming, the world’s first e-sports team made of players with disabilities. If you like retro games or glitchy speedruns, come hang out on Twitch!
