My post on pants for arthritis and bladder pain is still pretty popular, but at this point it’s probably a little outdated. I went shopping for spring clothes recently, so I can share what I found at Kohl’s! Unlike my other post, this post is only about women’s pants.

It can be really hard to go shopping and find pants as someone with pelvic pain, whether it’s from arthritis, interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, or something else. Stiff, low waistbands are sure to make my hips ache and send pangs through my bladder. I don’t just want to wear leggings all the time, though! I actually had a bit of a crisis at one point, sure I’d never be able to wear stylish pants again. I still miss jeans, but I’ve been relieved to find that alternatives are out there.

What I found at Kohl’s

When I went shopping last week, mostly I wasn’t shopping for pants, but I did find some nice sweatpants and soft pants with pockets!

The jogger pants I bought are super soft, although the elastic waistband is a little strong (might be bad for acid reflux). They fit really nicely, though. I’m looking forward to wearing these when everything hurts and I just want to be comfortable. There were also tons of options that were slightly less soft, but less expensive and with pockets. Or, for a less tight fit, the dorm pants also had pockets! (I’ve really been excited about pants having pockets lately.)

My fabulous elephant-printed pants.

Soft printed pants are in style, so I had a much easier time finding pants I could wear than in the past. For example, I was able to find these awesome elephant-printed jogger pants. With pockets! There were tons of other patterns, too, and there were also many pants without a cuff at the ankle, like these wide-leg pants or these paperbag waist pants.

This is mostly just a short update post, so for more pants advice, check out my other post on pants at Old Navy and Betabrand. I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated on pants I find in the future, too.
